Drawings I Made

Roy Williams

The Kiss 1973.

Girl with Wheat Pasadena, 1999.

Pasadena Civic Auditorium Pasadena, 1999. This is the view from the Bank of America building on Marengo Street. I especially like the way the five palms are framed by the classic architecture behind them -- I think its the Pasadena Civic Auditorium.

Whats That? 1973.

Spaghetti Junction Birmingham, England, 1976. This is an urban intersection of two major motorways, with roads, a railway track and a canal intersecting at the same place. There was (is?) a childrens playground at the lowest level, and I wonder what the lead levels were. I spent Jan-August 1976 very close to here.

Jane the Quaker Cambridge, England, 1978.

My Winter Coat 1979.

Stanley Fried the Espresso Bar, Old Town Pasadena, 1981.

My housemate Prakash Pasadena, California, 1983.

Gatehouse Regensburg, Germany, 1987. It's refreshing on holiday to be able to reduce the anxiety levels sufficiently to be able to sit and draw peacefully for an hour.
